Navigating the Flow Chart of Life

(an expansion to Our Spiritual Path)

At every juncture there’s a decision to be made.  How do I feel today, shall I go this way or that way?

One of, if not the primary principle to our being here is Free Will.  In Spirituality it’s a long held understanding that we’re here taking part in a grand experiment.  To take part in this experiment we don’t remember who we are or the vast knowledge we have so we stumble around in the seemingly darkness.  The challenge is to remember who we are.  To accomplish this we can experience whatever we want in our process of learning.  Hence we are granted Free Will to follow the bread crumbs back to knowing who we are without any repercussions.

In a Divine perspective there is no such thing as a wrong choice.  Each path we take leads to learning and learning is why we’re here.  Everything is about the experience we’ll have. Granted, in hindsight some choices are not what we wanted at the time yet even with that many times those will prove to be valuable or even required in the future.  The perspective of good and bad are also human denoting a judgment of worthwhileness.  The Divine Consciousness which holds unconditional love without any judgment sees those as merely different experiences.

Our journey here is one of deciding what we want to do.  Making plans is wonderful although looking into the future creating a long range plan presents problems when conditions change as they always will.  It’s a challenge in itself to step away from feeling it necessary to make detailed plans allowing our spiritual connection guide us.  After all it’s our Guidance which metaphorically hovers above us and can see what we haven’t yet.  Our Guidance is a resource for those wishing to utilize the service they offer.  Although be forewarned, once you start using you’re Guidance you’ll see the benefits and want more.  Asking to receive assistance from Guidance (it’s Free Will so we must ask) is another step in remembering who we are and it will bring about change, in a good way.  Those changes will continue to grow as long as it’s desired, again it’s Free Will.

Our Spiritual Path, a plan not a contract

(also see Navigating the Flow Chart of Life)

A long misunderstood concept among some is that of our Spiritual Path.  In a linear view to some this has become synonymous with a preset course of action we must take in order to fulfill our objective in life otherwise we’ve failed.  In a spiritual view there is no failure, everything is experience no matter how it turns out.  Failure is a human concept not one the Creative Consciousness observes.

A phrase I was given says a lot about the “I must do this” perception.  “The past is written in stone while the future is written in pencil.”  Thinking our path is something we must do negates our Free Will to change our mind based on new information.  Our Spiritual Path is a general plan of what we have proposed to do based on the existing potentials at the time of our reincarnation.  We are not under any “contract” (another linear misunderstanding negating Free Will) to do anything at all.  We have Free Will to change our minds as often as we decide to.  Rather than a ridged plan think of the Spiritual Path as a flow chart. There are choices to make regularly as to which direction we’ll go and none of them are wrong only different.  Learning will ensue no matter which way we go.  To that end being flexible is a spiritual plus.  It allows us the ability to be where we’re best served to be at any moment.  This takes the Free Will of others into account too.  Someone we would be best served to meet may decide at the last minute to be where we were thinking about going which opens a potential of meeting them.

To say we “must” do something is like saying our path tells us we must take a road trip and drive down a certain road.  That may have looked good and had purpose when the plan was made before we incarnated except years later the funding for the bridge wasn’t approved so it was never built.  Our path says “we must go down that road” so over the cliff we go.  It’s all about potentials, had the bridge been built as was a potential the plan would be valid but without a bridge it calls for a change in our path adjusting for the current prevailing conditions.

Our path is about a plan of intentions, not a fixed one but one which is dynamic with the ability to change as conditions shift.  The only constant in the universe is change.  Flexibility is a must if we intend to change with it.
