Discernment

Unlike making an intellectual decision, discernment is a spiritual function of assessing validity arrived at by using undefined (spiritual) abilities.  As such there usually isn’t any solid proof only the feeling of correctness or a lack of it which makes discernment subject to our individual interpretation.  It doesn’t matter what the subject is, it could be physical in nature or conceptual our discernment is available to us.  Invoking our discernment engages the higher senses calling for us to be aware of the sometimes subtle feedback of our intuition while at other times the feedback is very strong to a point of being an undeniable response to whatever is going on.

An intellectual decision is usually based in/on logic calling for a comparison with a similar situation and discernment doesn’t which the intellect and the intellectual would call irrational behavior.  Discernment steps beyond logic into an area of uncertainty for many lacking any defined how, what or why which is demanded by logic to function yet with practice we become comfortable using our discernment.  Sometimes discernment is referred to as something rubs us the wrong way, this is the undefined but noticeable discernment bringing up a response for us to be aware of.  This is not to be confused with having a situation “pushing our button” to which we react in a preprogrammed way due to an unresolved past issue.

Not using or being aware of our discernment will cause us to accept false information as truth or be involved in situations which are not in our highest good.

The Puzzle of Life or Our Mosaic of Life

The concept of our life or incarnation being like a puzzle is well known.  A puzzle has intricate shapes combined with a picture so each piece will only fit at one position to form a predetermined completed picture.

In contrast a Mosaic usually deals with much less complex shapes many times being only one color per piece lending itself to our Free Will so many different colors could or would fit into any one spot.  As Creators where each piece will be placed is our choice to form the picture we want.

As we work through our life encountering each learning opportunity presented us we have choices to make about which tile piece would best fit the situation.  Our Guidance is skillful in maneuvering us to where new pieces are afforded us as learning experience.  The more new experiences we gain the greater our choices are as to which we’ll use.  It is always our free will to learn or not to learn new thoughts.  Working directly with our higher aspects assist us to see potentials which otherwise may not have been seen.

The way we live and the outcome of each incarnation is not preordained in any way.  We have the flexibility of free will in every moment to create what we want or all too often create what we don’t want.  The hardest part is seeing we can create what we want if we’d only change our thinking.

Our Connection

The first thing someone may ask is, a connection to what?  Much like the evolution of internet connections we ourselves have our own connection to the Universe Wide Net.  When the internet started we were using modems working at a snail’s pace where we couldn’t watch a movie without stopping to allow more of the more to be downloaded every two minutes.  Today most of can download a movie in only a few minutes or even less.

Some of us aren’t aware we have a connection while others know it well and use it.  Our connection to “All That Is” continually calls to be upgraded after we find out we have this connection.  A computer is much easier to upgrade than we are but at least we don’t need to order new parts.  Our hardware/pineal gland isn’t replaceable although we can upgrade its software in a manner of speaking since our operating system / consciousness uses software driver we can rewrite these programs.  As we grow spiritually this happen automatically and even faster if we use our connections more often.

The analogy between a computer and our brain is more literal than figurative.  There is much to be understood about how the brain portion of our intellect actually works as a storage device while the Pineal gland acts as a modem to the rest of creation.  While we’re on the subject, the Heart completes a trinity working as our divine processing unit of higher consciousness.  This is not understood by science any more than someone from two hundred years ago could have understood the internet or a wireless modem, they don’t see it so it doesn’t exist.  We have an important truth which states “what we think we know gets in the way of learning what we don’t know.”  This applies to everyone and most importantly to those in science.

Establishing a greater connection is so important to our growth in many ways.  We exist in Duality which has many illusions for us to see the truth of.  As we do we’re called to overcome each of them with understanding, these are known as Spiritual tests/challenges.

Fear, loneliness, separation and sadness are play toys of the Ego.  They each find their core in not having a strong connection to our higher aspects.  Once we’re connect and believe we’re connected our accomplishments expands quickly.  Fear for many is the greatest illusion to overcome, loneliness and separation are also signs of an incomplete connection to the other side of the veil.  When we are connected we can feel the love for us knowing we never could be alone, when these are known not just understood it frees us greatly allowing us to relax.  As we learn more we find the greatest inner peace as could be imagined.

The Ego

Master or servant

The role of the Ego is little understood by the bulk of humanity, we’d be better served to know more about what this aspect of our consciousness is doing while we’re not looking.  The Ego give us the drive to succeed and a desire to accomplish yet without restraint the Ego gives us grief, literally.  The Ego is much like a kid in a candy store of emotions, it’ll get into everything and try them all and the ones it likes are tried often.

The Ego is the primary player in lesser emotions like; anger, rage, hatred, envy, jealousy, blind ambition, betrayal, feeling hurt for any reason and much more.  Fear is also on the list although this is so important to understand it has its own spiritual challenge but the Ego plays with fear too.  The Ego doesn’t get involved in Love, Compassion or Joy, those are higher emotions.

From the moment we take our first breath every system we have is set on “auto-pilot” functioning as it will completely without any input from us.  The Ego left on its own without supervision remaining that way until we get wiser seeing what it’s up to.  All of this is as it should be for our learning and growth.  In time we’ll face the spiritual challenge / test to regain the leadership of a wayward team member placing this rouge agent Ego back into our personal consciousness group.

Taming the unruly Ego,

A very important step is to know what the Ego is up to.  Seeing how it interferes in our lives and relationships is so very valuable to understand why we act the way we do at times.  Every time we “react” to a situation this is the Ego hard at work, a button gets pushed and we respond without thinking about it.  Taking action is a calculated response when we observe a situation and chose to make a plan.  The Ego doesn’t plan to do anything other than react, this is what the Ego does best.

Having seen the Ego’s game, refusing to dance on a string pulled by the Ego puts us back into the position of being in charge.  Every time we find ourselves “reacting” to a situation we are called to stop and tell the Ego “not this time, I’m not playing anymore.”  It’s just that simple but as the saying goes “it’s simple but it’s not easy.”  This spiritual challenge of the Ego requires perhaps more due diligence than many other spiritual test other than Fear which is for many the hardest to face.

There is no substitute for Self -Love

Also see An addendum to Self-Love for more information.

For some self-love seems a given yet for many others self-love just seems to be an unknown.  There is no substitute for self-love.  This one attribute is a corner-stone of spiritual growth and will inhibit us from finding the relationship we want.  If we can’t love ourselves how will we love another?  It’s easier to look outside of us for love which is why most of humanity searches for love in someone else to fill the feeling of incompleteness.  This has become accepted as where to look for love yet, why is it so elusive?  Like everything else love is to be found within us but for many it seems blocked by many forms of self-judgment.

Make no mistake the path to spiritual growth, knowing, self-empowerment and Mastery all pass through our doorway of Self-Love early in the journey.  There is a great deal to learn in spirituality yet we are very limited as to how far we can go without learning self-love.

In looking for a special relationship with another person to hold as our lover we are limited without knowing self-love.  How do we give love to another if we’re unable to love ourselves first?  We each have our own self-love doorway.  All too often this doorway seems unused if not locked.  This doorway must be opened allowing love and compassion to flow through us from Divine sources.  The doorway of self-love also is our portal to receive love as well as give love.

Opening our self-love portal requires effort to clear the past from blocking our access to it. There isn’t a magic wand to instantly remove the many incarnations of misunderstanding nor is there a new-age clearing process or technique to do it while we sit back and listen.  In Light of this we’re called to use a well-known process of standing in front of a mirror.  We look into our own eyes saying “I love you” and meaning it to as great a level as possible.  Many find resistance to doing this which is understandable but then this is why the process is so valuable, that resistance is what we want to clear.  As we continue doing this the resistance will subside as the obstruction is cleared.  Continue this no matter how long it takes, a week, a month, a year, it will pay off.  Eventually we find it easy to say “I love you” and meaning it.  When this occurs our doorway to self-love is open allowing us to honor our own Divinity by loving ourselves.

This is the first and a very important step to give and receive love from others.  We’ll still need to work with the Ego, judgment and trust but those are easier to overcome when we love ourselves.

Journey of Energy Healing – Identifying what we haven’t experienced

For other installments in the Journey of Energy Healing see, Looking even deeper, there’s always more to seeIt’s not about the ModalityLooking Deeper at Energy,   The Healing Crisis,   Lesser Etheric Life Forms,   Identifying Etheric Objects, and preparing to clear them,   The Dreaded Implant and A Healer’s Journey

A basic truth, “we don’t know what we haven’t learned yet.”  If we don’t know something it doesn’t exists for us.

Another basic truth, “what we think we know stops us from learning what we don’t know.” Our preconceived ideas get in the way of the openness to learn something new.

Both of these lead the “brain” to erroneous conclusions which usually get accepted as being true.

The underlying question is; how do we identify etheric objects (or anything) we’ve never encountered before?  There are a great deal of life forms existing as etheric energy.  I’ve never heard anyone talk about most of what I’ve seen and guidance has shown me even more saying I would be best served to learn about them.

Until we learn it, it doesn’t exist in our understanding so we have no concept of it.  Our Guidance is always putting new things on our path for us to discover.  Sometimes a client will come for healing work carrying something for us to see in addition to why they came to see us.  The trick is to see these so we can learn about them.  A healer is only as effective as their experience allows them to be.  If we misidentify something it may lead us to use an incorrect approach to resolve it.  To resolve an issue a client may require many things, one high on the list is our level of Self-empowerment.  No modality is going to enable us to clear something, the ability always comes from within us.  There are also several rules for the healing energy to be accepted by our client.

The brain is a portion of our intellect which is a data base of past experience used to compare what we’ve experienced with what we are experiencing at the moment finding a match or something close to it.  The “brain” isn’t exactly what medical science thinks it is.  (Scientist are also subject to the basic truths mentioned above, maybe even more so.)  It references all past events to the current experience so we know what things are and how to deal with them.  This works wonderfully except when we’re working beyond our past experience.  At this point the brain will jump to conclusions based on the nearest experience it can find.  Our brain is wired to find a match even if it’s incorrect or it will make up something, it’s not acceptable to have no answer at all.  This is where we’re led to misidentify what we’re feeling/seeing only due to it’s being outside of our experience.  And how would we know if our brain was faking an answer or not?  This happens all the time leading to a great deal of myth and misunderstanding about everything especially spiritual matters since we have no parallel in 3D.

So, right about now you may be thinking, how do I identify what I’ve never experienced before?  If you were thinking that, there is a way.  We all have Guidance even if we don’t think so.  We can’t escape them, they’re some our other parts which didn’t enter into this third dimension.  Guidance “only when asked” will help us to learn about what we haven’t experienced yet or are just experiencing now.  Although they won’t just give us all the answers, we still need to sense it and figure it out then they’ll help us to understand it better.  This is all part of our learning, we’re called to work at it not just to be given all the answers.

This of course requires a good level of communication with our guidance.  Anything less will limit how quickly we understand them or it’ll take more time to develop this through practice and lots of it for as long as it takes.  (many times both)  Becoming Self-empowered helps in not only working with Guidance to identify objects but in the disposition those in a proper manor.  There are “rules” as to what is best and unacceptable to do with what we find not belonging to someone we’re helping.  Just to mention one, when we encounter a lesser consciousness which may or may not be dark in its nature we’re not allowed to terminate it in any way. (not that we really could except in our misperception)  All consciousness once created cannot be un-created, it’s sacred no matter what it looks like.

Self-empowerment in its larger sense is a corner stone to spiritual growth leading to Mastery.  I’ve learned this well in the five years since I was made the Steward of Aurora Source Radiance.  Since then my path has been none stop accelerated learning from only our Divine Source.

The Divine Plan and Potentials

The Divine plan is a concept of what could be achieve if we’ll connect with our higher aspects to achieve that goal.  The Divine Plan for each of us is grander than our human imagination would be able to conjure up since we tend to limit our own abilities.  To our way of thinking most consider a plan as being written in a final form.  We make plans which are for the most part fixed and we’ll adjust them if the need presents itself.  A Divine plan is quite different being a conceptual organization of potential actions.

Our Soul has a plan, it’s the Divine Plan.  As incarnates we usually have our own ideas which very often conflict with the Divine plan.  The Divine plan is well conceived and carefully scripted to achieve a potential goal of our growth and interacting with many other individuals to extend the learning.  It’s not so much that we lack the perception to create a wonderful plan of our own, (even if it is true) it’s more that we have a limited view of our own potentials and the possibilities available to us.  If you’ve ever played 3D chess, the Divine Plan is more complicated than a 64 level chess board.  We’d call it chaos only due to not having that level of perception to keep track of it.

The only rule of a Divine Plan takes our Free Will into consideration first and foremost.  It must then contend with flexibility in all situations to compensate for any choices every individual involved may make.  This takes a depth of planning beyond our level of perception.  The variability is immense encompassing every possible alternative from the most probable to the very least likely for every event.  In view of our Free Will the outcome of any action is unknown until we make the choice.  Guidance can see the potentials, they know the most likely course we’ll take based on what we’ve done before although our choice is uncertain before we make it.  The greater the numbers of us involved in any part of a plan only increases the complexity of that plan and knowing the probabilities of completion.  Nothing is wasted in the Divine Plan, every event serves the needs of many in some way or another no matter which way we decide to go making the Divine Plan even more complex.

The Divine plan requires our cooperation to be completed in its fullest if it even achieves partial completion.  If we resist the Divine Plan or we’re otherwise not in harmony with it the flow of the plan is disrupted inhibiting the goal to be reached on one level or another.  Flow is stated as all that is Divine is energy, Divine energy moves like a fluid so when a channel is open the flow is unrestricted and the course of the flow can change to meet the current conditions.

The Divine Plan has many conditional check points which require learning / understanding to be completed in order to continue to the next objective.  The human perspective of these check points is usually to label them as blockages trying to remove them, in so doing we’re missing the importance of them.  The concept of a loving mentor (our Guidance) placing obstacles in our path to punish us is a misperception.  These conditional points are presented for our education, if a required lesson has been learned the flow is open to proceed, if not the flow could be either stopped or diverted into another direction which may assist us to learn what hasn’t been seen yet.  The amount of conditional points has no set number depending on the Souls objectives and what has already been learned and stored in the Akash.  A suggestion is to view these conditional points as learning opportunities for our growth.  The best part is we don’t need to remember what the plan is. (we set it up before our incarnation started) We only need to know there is one and if we’ll allow it we’ll have help following it.

Knowing we have a Divine Plan available to us is the easy part, knowing what we’re asked to do so we can maximize the plan is another.  Guidance knows our ability to communicate with them so they won’t write us into a plan calling for greater communication than we have, yet they’ll ask us to expand our abilities to achieve more than we thought we could.  It’s all about learning.  At times we may be asked if we want to expand our part of the plan.  Without a level of communication with our Guidance this would be difficult.  A Pendulum is a basic tool to seek the best direction to move.  It can also help us to learn higher communications by asking if what we think we heard was correct.

In the Divine Plan We Trust (parity intended)

I trust you know how hard it is for many of us to trust especially if we can’t see what we’re asked to trust.  We’re called upon to trust everyday only for not being able to watch everything that’s going on personally.  That statement was partially tongue in cheek.  Most of us have misplaced our trust in another human as part of the lessons of life although that trust was not placed in our Guidance.  Our Guidance is part of us so if we can’t trust our divine selves we have some deep learning to do.

We’re asked to trust in our Guidance and the Divine Plan we set up.  If we can trust God / Creator / Spirit . . . which has only unconditional love for us and our best interest at heart.  Trusting in the Divine Plan may take a bit of effort in coming to terms with from a human perspective although we have no valid reason to withhold our trust from our own higher aspects.  Trusting in the Divinity is very important to our growth!

With a good level of communication to Guidance we can monitor the conditions of our plan.  As an example to illustrate the ability to change our lives by working with Guidance and the Divine Plan I’ll relate this.  I won’t bore anyone with the details but trusting in the Divine Plan and working past conditional check points made a major shift in my life and that of my Beloved.  We went from a potential of only being together two years with a tragic ending to having the rest of our lives together with greater potentials in our lives.  I can’t stress how important it is to trust in the Divine and become self-empowered learning to work with the rest of our Being.  It was a big lesson for me to learn making a huge difference in the potentials for the future.  I thought I’d pass this one along for others to file for future reference if you don’t feel called to use it now.
