Is Chaos really chaotic?

Chaos is seen as a lack of order in any system or occurrence.  The perception of chaos depends on our ability to understand any patterns which may or may not exist within a circumstance.  This leads us to make a judgment in our perception about if we sense any order.  To our minds multidimensional existence lacks order since we are ill-equipped to understand such complexity.  Much like in our dreams things can happen which make little sense, people are in the dream or what happens is out of place although at the time it may seem correct.  Our minds venture into multidimensional thought during the nightly dreams giving us symbolic experiences and metaphors relating to what we are living.

Is any perceived chaos only a complex order which has a pattern beyond our understanding?  If so, this may suggest that Chaos is an illusion.
